Some of the Questions We're Asked All the Time

What Can Change the Price of My Move?

Movers are allowed to change price if circumstances change, altering items and issues that were not spelled out in the original contract. Moving includes normal delivery with one-time placement of furniture. Additional charges may be incurred if unanticipated problems arise during your move, especially if known problems were not written on your estimate, such as the need to hoist furniture or carry furniture up flights of stairs.

  • What Is Not Covered For Damage?
Movers do not assume any liability for the following: Documents, currency, jewelry, precious stones, furs, items of sentimental value, electronic data, & articles of extraordinary value Loss or damage due to breakage of china, glassware or other fragile items, unless packed and unpacked by the mover & documented upon delivery Damage caused by items packed by the consumer Mechanical operating condition of TVs, appliances, computers & electronics Missing items not inventoried at origin & documented as missing upon delivery Items previously broken, repaired, glued or too weak or unstable to move Damages not documented at the time of delivery.
  • How Do I Pay For My Move?
Be certain to have cash or certified check unless another form of payment is written on the Order for Service. It’s wise to have additional cash available in case of unexpected delays. Credit cards need advanced notice for pre-authorization. Ask your mover what is acceptable before you move.
  • How Much Notice Does The Mover Need to Book a Moving Date?
Most movers need at least 2 weeks’ notice, with a firm date. More notice is preferable, particularly during the busy season – May to September. Call the mover if you have less notice.
  • What is an FAQ section?
An FAQ section can be used to quickly answer common questions about you or your business, such as “Where do you ship to?”, “What are your opening hours?” or “How can I book a service?” It’s a great way to help people navigate your site and can even boost your site’s SEO.
